Dear Movers and Shakers of ARM,
Happy New Year! We hope that 2018 holds new and exciting things for you all!
For many people the new year comes with resolutions and new beginnings. As we start off the new year, we want to take a moment to talk about the importance of the healing. We can be quick to jump ahead and dive into what we want to achieve, what we want to improve, and how we want to change, but a lot of the time we don't stop to think about what we need to heal and what is holding us back from that healing.
Sometimes this can be because we are too scared to look at the past, especially if there is hurt and pain there. Other times we can get caught up in the excitement of starting something new, moving on becomes a welcome distraction to our minds.
If we don't take the time to heal our past hurts and make peace with what's been, then our actions can be fruitless and we can end up right back where we started. This can often lead to us wondering how we keep ending up in the same patterns making the same mistakes repeatedly.
Take the time to acknowledge what hurts you, heal the past, and really absorb the lessons you need to learn in order to move forward and never go back.
As always, remember to be kind and patient with yourself as you make new transitions, whatever they may be. If you are challenging yourself for the better then you are on the right path.
